Slop Evader is a browser add-on that searches the web for content posted before ChatGPT's public release on November 30th, 2022. It pushes back against false narratives of progress and assumes that the quality of the internet as an information retrieval tool has been in rapid decline since the public uptake of generative AI (see dead internet theory).
As media like images, video, and text become untethered from reality and are generated from unknown datasets and contexts. The cognitive load of searching, encountering, and assessing media has increased substantially. Every time you encounter content, you must now ask yourself – is this real or AI-generated? Is this old or new? Where did this come from?
Slop Evader offers some respite. If you want to browse the web before the age of generated media, this tool is for you.
In Internet Archive, Some books can be borrowed to read online for a limited period. The extension will try to download these books. In HathiTrust Digital Library. books with full view permission is also supported.

Butter is a browser extension that skips sponsored content in YouTube videos. It does this by watching them before you do. Because you deserve butter.
Butter uses machine learning to detect sponsored content. Instead of looking at keywords or the metadata provided by Google, it analyzes the video content itself. This allows Butter to detect sponsored segments even if the creator doesn't mention them explicitly. Other browser extensions rely on manual, human work to achieve that, but Butter is not that smart.
Butter is an experiment that proved to be more useful than I expected, so I decided to share it.

uBO Minus is permission-less experimental MV3-based network request blocker
This is an experimental network request blocker using the Manifest V3's declarativeNetRequest.
It does not require broad "read/modify data" permission hence its limited capabilities compared to uBlock Origin or other blockers requiring broad "read/modify data" permission. The default ruleset corresponds to uBlock Origin's default filterset.
